"BLACK LIVES MATTER" is painted in temporary paint outside of Dallas City Hall. The letters are painted in outline only, with the colors black, green, and red. These are the colors of the Pan-African flag.

The effort to create the mural was organized by “Change DFW Protests 2020”, a Facebook group of community activists, along with the help of Dallas City Council member Chad West and the nonprofit Better Block Foundation, in response to the death of George Floyd.
