Coverage

1515 E Lake St, Minneapolis, MN

Description

To the right of the mural, a phoenix is depicted rising out of the ashes of a burning city, with a broken heart and "George Floyd" written on its wings. In the sky, there are red, yellow, and orange flowers floating around. On the left side of the mural, "Walaalo is Jeceyl" is written above some flowers. "Walaalo is Jeceyl" is a Somali phrase meaning "Brothers and sisters love each other." Towards the middle of the mural, a sign reading "R.I.P FLOYD GEORGE THIS IS A BLACK OWNED BUSINESS" is visible.
