Title
Same Color Shadow | Bringing Back Bowery
Coverage
308 Bowery, New York, NY 10012
Description
The plywood is left relatively unfinished, with no wash of paint covering the background. A sticker, partially peeled off, is on the leftmost part of the panel and reads repetitively in all capitalized letters, "Remove Your Boards."
With the manipulation of one line, shapes and forms are created to depict a musician wearing a brimmed hat, playing a saxophone. Bold, fully capitalized text to the left of the figure reads: "No One is Above Or Below Thats Why We All Have The Same Color Shadow." The word "Shadow" is written twice, with the earlier iteration scribbled out and rewritten underneath. The artist's signature, "By Sir Shadow. Com" is written at the figure's feet.
