Coverage

Chicago Ave and E 38th Street, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
Description
An account of the resource
Surrounded by flowers and other tributes at George Floyd square, an acrostic poem appears using “Floyd.” The vertical letting of “Floyd” is orange outlined in yellow and the following text emerging from “Floyd” are yellow. Reading top to bottom the poem reads: “From tragedy, Love must prevail, Our Cry..., Your tragedy, Demands, Change.” The word “change” breaks from the acrostic structure and this change is noted by the artist changing the text color to green. This poem was painted on the street directly next to where George Floyd was murdered. A red, velvet rope marks the sacred space where he died.

Description
An account of the resource
The sign is a no parking sign showing a capital letter “P” with a red circle with a diagonal dash through it. Affixed over the “P” of the sign is a clear plaque with a monotone image of the bust of former Minneapolis police lieutenant Bob Kroll. On his head are red sparkly horns typical of devil iconography. Below Kroll’s bust in all capital letters is the word “Butthole,” which is possibly a play on rhyming Bob Kroll’s name. This is located in the vicinity of the Minneapolis Police Officers Federation building.

Description
An account of the resource
A line of militarized police officers are painted on plywood panels. Donald Trump's face is on the head of each figure. The figures are holding riot shields that read "VIP" in one hand and small American flags in the other. Swirls of green and blue are at their feet. Above the officers is a banner of yellow with black letters reading "Demilitarize the police" three times, in the style of barricade tape.

St. Croix Trail N, Stillwater, Minnesota, USA
Description
An account of the resource
Two cement traffic blockades feature bold script surrounded by floral and brick motifs. The floral motif covers the top half while the red brick covers the bottom half. The right blockade reads "spread kindness" and the left reads "hate is not welcome here." The text is in all capitals, suggesting the importance of the message. The flowers appear to be roses, peonies, and an unidentified tiny five petal flower. The flowers are multicolored including pink, orange- red, blue, purple, and yellow. Green vegetation surrounds the flowers and spills over the painted brick.
