Beloved Daunte Wright Mural
A mural of multiple hands enveloping Daunte Wright as he looks skyward. One arm is held aloft with an air freshener hanging from his finger. A halo of gold surrounds his head and a gold teardrop runs down his face. The words Beloved is written on the left side of the mural and mirrored again on the opposite side of the painting. The mural is signed "Tachianna C. '21, @saturatedhoney."

Air fresheners and "Murderapolis" at Brooklyn Center Police Department
A number of air fresheners hang on the chain link fence that surrounds the Brooklyn Center Police Department. Graffiti reading "Murderapolis" is written on the Jersey barrier visible in the background.
At the time of the photograph, the Brooklyn Center Police Department was heavily fortified in response to protesters who had gathered outside. Protesters had gathered in response to the police killing of Daunte Wright on April 11, 2021. Brooklyn Center police officer Kimberly Potter claims to have confused her Taser with her handgun when she fatally shot Daunte Wright during a traffic stop. Officers presented Daunte Wright's air freshener, handing from his rear view mirror, as justification for the traffic stop.
