RIP George/No Justice No Peace
This is an image of several works on the same wall. Blue graffiti, "R.I.P. George" and "no Justice/no peace," are separated by a red and black bubble throw-up of "A6H." To the right of this is a larger throw-up of "RIP George" in striped red with black outline. On the end is black graffiti: "No Justice/No Peace . . . ./"I CAN'T BREATHE!"/RIP George Floyd." This last throw up has been crossed out or perhaps has been sprayed with solvent.
This piece is on the east side wall of Hair Plus Wigs.

FeeL US?
The exterior of a strip mall "the Vitamin Shoppe" chain store. A message in black faces the busy University Ave: "FeeL US?"
Note from the contributor: "Most of the retail and chain stores in this area were damaged, tagged, looted, and burned. To me, this message of "Feel US?" Represents the frustration of the feeling that nobody cares about peaceful protests and peaceful demands for change. Also that the rioting and civil unrest in the days following the killing of George Floyd, and the property damage specifically, is something that people cannot ignore. Feel the rage and pain of a community in crisis and in grief in a way that cannot be ignored: by destroying things. (And perhaps touching on the insidiousness of valuing material property more than a black man's life? What does this say about our society?)"
