Breonna Taylor - Here We Celebrate Your Life
Plywood panels over windows. The wood is spray painted white almost to the edges, resembling a cloud. Across the top in large blue letters are the words "Breonna Taylor" and directly under that in smaller letters "Here We Celebrate Your Life". To the right in large letters "June 5th" and underneath that "1993-2020" indicating Breonna Taylor's birthday, date of birth and death. On the left is a bold black jagged square outlined in neon yellow with the stylized words "Your Spirit is STRONG". Directly underneath her first name is a full body portrait of Breonna Taylor. She wears a dark blue dress and carries a light blue clutch in her left hand, she has heels on and is glancing at the viewer over her left shoulder, her hair is long and wavy. She wears a crown of flowers, two butterflies flutter near her head and wildflowers are painted near her feet and on either side of the mural. Handwritten notes to or in remembrance of Breonna are scattered over the white space of the mural.
