The multicolored background is composed mostly of blue-green and red-orange washes. The paint is done in layers including some partially obscured background script. Red script is layered on top reading, “Flint one day soon…,” “love,” “Mike,” “*171*,” “freedom,” “SJK,” ‘unity,’ “snake I ya-dig,” and “equality.” Other writing appears, though it is not immediately legible. Additional signs and symbols are seen through the piece with the addition of ripped ads pasted over the paint around all four edges. A small black and white dove is seen on the right of portrait. At the bottom of the mural the handle of the artist is seen, @theartofwillpower.
The complexity of the piece is centered around the portrait of George Floyd and the strong use of colors helps to achieve this. This mural was created as part of the project Shared Freedom Protest Art 2020 which took place in the East Village section of Manhattan from September 13th- November 3rd.
