Hook and Ladder print series
A series of large black and white prints on panels located at Hook and Ladder Theater, adjacent to the 3rd police precinct in Minneapolis, which was abandoned and burned on May 28, 2020. The prints are a combination of text and images. All of the images have text and decorative elements in the top portion with flames and abstracted images of protestors on the lower portion, unifying the works as a series. Three prints include portraits of Black men killed by the police in the Twin Cities: Philando Castille, George Floyd, and Daunte Wright. These panels include text reading "Black Lives Matter." One image shows three fists raised in the air with text reading "Minneapolis United." An image of an anatomical heart is joined with text reading "Rethink Not Reform." A phoenix rising from the flames is accompanied by the text "We Rise Up Together." An image with protestors reads "No Justice, No Peace." -
Murderous City of Lakes Police stencil at the 3rd Precinct in Minneapolis
A large stencil on the abandoned and damaged 3rd Police Precinct building in Minneapolis. The stencil emulates a badge and reads "Murderous Police City of Lakes" with a large image of a skull. The precinct is blocked off by fencing, and there is additional graffiti in the vicinity. -

Lake Street-See Me Hear Me | Lion on Aldi
From the photographer: This image was painted on plywood covering windows of an Aldi grocery story located at 2912 28th Ave S, the area most damaged during the uprising in May, 2020. It was taken during a walk around the area on Sunday, June 14, 2020. I was struck by the strength, determination, and ferocity of the lion. The eyes are amazing. The artist's signature is in the bottom right of the lion's mane, LHS 2020. -

Signs on Minneapolis 3rd Precinct barrier
A series of signs hung on the barrier fence surrounding the former 3rd Precinct in Minneapolis. The signs are hanging in front of the vinyl panels with information about the new Minneapolis Democracy Center to be located on this site. Piece of cardboard were painted with black paint and white lettering and decorative elements and attached to the fencing using zip ties. The signs read "Organize around care," "We remember George Floyd," "We do this until we free us," "This is not democracy. This is not Safety!! Stop the Violence," "Joy is a Discipline," "Resist," "Abolition now," "Our ancestors are watching," and more. -
A Budget is a Moral Document
A large mural on the side of a locally-owned bicycle shop. In the foreground, a figure has a bike on a stand and for repair work. The bike represents Minneapolis, and it says "City of Lakes" on it. The wheels of the bike as used to create pie charts indicating allocations for different areas of the budget such as "Police," "City Coordinator," "Capitol Improvements," etc. Two figures on bikes look on at the repairs. A text bubble reads "Is it ready yet?" The person doing the repairs responds "Almost. I'm still adjusting the fixed part to get more control on what's flexible."
