From the contributor: "My wife and I went downtown to photograph the protest art as we knew that it would not last (for a variety of reasons). The military was still on the streets, a curfew was still in place, and police were still assaulting innocent protestors. Columbus is the capitol of Ohio, so much of this was around the capitol building."

Breonna Mural CHAZ
This mural is dominated by large, capital letters reading “Breonna.” The text is soft and rounded and is outlined in white. A transparent green wash, curves through the text in a single paint stroke. A darker, yellow paint curved line moves to the forefront and background of the lettering. Small, pink, paint strokes layer on top of the text. Surrounding the name “Breonna,” blue, painted vegetation appears. A light, transparent, blue emanates from the text. The blue vegetation appears to be ferns and vines.

There was significant looting in downtown Providence on June 1-2nd and business owners boarded up broken windows. Several days later artists, particularly those associated with AS220 began putting up murals and other forms of art on the plywood.

Breonna Taylor - Here We Celebrate Your Life
Plywood panels over windows. The wood is spray painted white almost to the edges, resembling a cloud. Across the top in large blue letters are the words "Breonna Taylor" and directly under that in smaller letters "Here We Celebrate Your Life". To the right in large letters "June 5th" and underneath that "1993-2020" indicating Breonna Taylor's birthday, date of birth and death. On the left is a bold black jagged square outlined in neon yellow with the stylized words "Your Spirit is STRONG". Directly underneath her first name is a full body portrait of Breonna Taylor. She wears a dark blue dress and carries a light blue clutch in her left hand, she has heels on and is glancing at the viewer over her left shoulder, her hair is long and wavy. She wears a crown of flowers, two butterflies flutter near her head and wildflowers are painted near her feet and on either side of the mural. Handwritten notes to or in remembrance of Breonna are scattered over the white space of the mural.
