A large hand is created using various pieces of rectangular material. The hand itself is brown and the palm is painted with white text reading "I'm Free." Additional black paint, it is unknown if it was painted by the artist, reads "not" changing the overall message to "I'm not free." More black lettering is noted beneath this, though it is not legible to the writer. The fingers of the hand are painted with black, green, red, and yellow details. A red, black, green, and yellow sash is woven around the hand. The base holding the hand is painted white and yellow. The right side reads "land back" and the center has a Prince sign, peace sign, and the lettering "F12."

The business also includes multiple signs, from left to right, top to bottom: a letter board sign reads "no justice, no peace, George Floyd," a paper that reads "Justice for George Floyd, #sayhisname" with a portrait" of George Floyd, "Do you hear us? Justice for George Floyd" with a portrait of him, and instructional information about George Floyd Square. The mural itself is centered around a blindfolded, black individual. Parts of the piece are difficult to read due to business door and window obstruction. 38th Street and Chicago Ave, George Floyd Square, South Minneapolis, MN, USA
Description
An account of the resource
What was previously a Speedway Gas Station, has been reclaimed by George Floyd Square and re-named "Peoples' Way." Under the updated sign is a mural of Paul Castaway and his son. This mural is created with multicolored washes. These colors include blue, yellow, teal, green, pink, orange, red, and purple. Two blue painted bears originate from Paul Castaway's head, where his name appears along with red script reading "Remember My Name." His birth and death are recorded in-between the two portraits "10/10/79-7/12/15." At the end of the Peoples' Station a quote by Malcom X reads "The Future Belongs to Those Who Prepare For It Today." Silver spray painted boards with black script are leaning against the building discussing the death of George Floyd and 24 demands by citizens.
